| What: 2,000 meter erg race. 30 ergs will be raced at once. Ergs are electronically connected together so that you end up 'racing' with the other people in your heat. Your progress can be viewed on a tv monitor, represented by a boat racing across the screen. In the past, there have been rowers competing from Marin, Pacific, Capital, Los Gatos, Stanford JC, Serra, Silicon Valley, and Berkeley HS. This is a good point early in the season to see how we individually stack up against other rowers from Northern California. Medals are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the novice, frosh (subdivision of novice), open, and lightweight categories. |
